John Perkins Housing

Located: 930 - 13th Ave. & 931 - 14th Ave., Campbell River, B.C. John Perkins is a low cost non-smoking senior's housing facility located in the heart of Campbell River. The buildings are the result of a Royal Canadian Legion housing initiative from the late 1960's. The two buildings provide 62 units (48 bachelor suites and 14 one bedroom suites) and faces two streets - the John Perkins building faces 13th Avenue and the Seth Norton building faces 14th Avenue just off of Ironwood Street. The office and main lobby are located in the Seth Norton building as well as a common lounge and kitchen facilities for the use of the tenants. Criteria:
  • Minimum age 55 years
  • Maximum annual income for single $30,000 ($2,500 per month )
  • Maximum annual income for couple $40,000 ( $3,000 per month )
  • Maximum $100,000 in assets
The buildings are non-smoking and strictly enforced. The housing is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who meet monthly (except July and August) and review and approve applications at that time. Only applications that are complete are considered.
